Changing Firebolt front inserts

Post by Pegasus »

I was told that I should shoot 150gr broadheads to maintain accuracy, how ever that significantly reduces the options that I have. Are there any heavy inserts that would let me shoot 125gr broadheads, also what is the current weight of the stock inserts?

I don't shoot Firebolts. I wouldn't go to all the trouble of changing inserts over 25 gr.........

FWIW, I shoot 125gr & 150gr BHs both Slick Trick & Bolt Cutters on my Firebolt arrows and do not see any difference out to 40 yards shooting from a rest. I am using a 2012 Equinox and a Nikon Bolt Xr scope. I would be confident in hunting deer with either one.

I shoot 100 grain broadheads on my Firebolts with no problems at all. I have shot Montecs and Swackers and both hit same POI as field points.
