mine was an 8 pointer, about 7 years ago. was 160 lb,not a monster like you see on tv, but good size for maine. shot with a 30-06 rem. i'll have the wife try to post it on here later.

12pt, 243lbs dressed. Taken with shotgun, 2 3/4", 00Buck, Nov.1990,opening day. Renfrew County, Ottawa Valley.
An animal like that changes everything. You know it's probably a once in a lifetime deer. All downhill from here I'll try an post a pic. No digital pics back then. Hope I can get one similar to that with the Excalibur

My Biggest rack buck from the early 80's was this 11 point I took with my original Excalibur Relayer ...



As mentioned in past threads ... That relayer has been retired and a fellow forum member ( DesertRat ) did an awsome custom paint job on it before I hung it up ....



My Biggest bodied shot gun buck was from 2010 ... A heavy rack 8 point as well .



My Biggest bodied crossbow buck was from 2011 ... taken with a peep sight Excalibur Vixen .



Some nice rack bucks ( 9 and 10 points ) , taken with Excalibur Exocet crossbow models ... ( old and new models )



And my 1st split brow tine buck , was taken on a rifle hunt in Saskatchewan back in 2005 .



I have to admit .... the biggest bucks are not always the most memorable ! ... Every hunt and and every buck taken ( big or small ) just proved to be another exciting adventure during my time in the field .

Very Nice deer!! Here are a few of mine. The 15 point was a pistol kill, I will admit I am a HUGE pistol fan!! The little button in the last pic is my favorite of all time. That was my first deer every in the 80's. I was 11 and did it with a bow, hunting alone. I think I smiled for at least 2 years after that one!

The first one is 15 points, 215# dressed,very piebald & very non-typical


13 Point- muzzleloader- 186#dressed




The rest are a mix of crossbow and compound bow

It does change things but I wouldn't say it's downhill. Probably not what you really mean. Used to hunt allone and was extremely serious about it. After 34 years of deer hunting and a couple of pretty good bucks for Florida, it's just about the fun now. Rarely go anymore unless a friend or family member is going with me. Now I realize that it was always about staying safe and having fun.

For some reason I cant find my 2012 archery buck with my Vixen II it was larger than that 10 point. It was a main frame 8 point with a split G2.

Hunt mostly close to home here in Texas. Have a couple of decent deer but no monsters
I sure had a ball huntin' 'em tho.
I have always been a gun hunter, but huntin' with the Excal more and more. All these were gun kills. Still tryin' for the first Excal buck.
