Opening Morning Bird

Got to the blind at 5:15 am got settled in, and got the Vortex ready. The birds started gobbling about 5:30, spotted a bird on roost across the field. Saw him fly down, along with 8 hens. Started calling softly to him and he strut and gobble. This went on for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, and then the hens started working my way towing big boy behind them. I started purring and that was the nail in the coffin. He weigh in at 24.12, 10 1/2 beard and 1 1/4 spursImage

I'll bet that was a super-long hour and 1/4 working him in! CONGRATS!!!! That's a big bird!

WOW, way to go buddy, good story and thanks for the photo. It just gives me goose bumps to read the stories and see the photos. What a giant bird Mark, Congratulations. You folks are so lucky to have turkey hunting.
