I won the Michigan Crossbow Federation Bear Hunt!

Post by automated11 »

Well looks like I will be heading to Canada this August for the Bear opener. I won the bear hunt Michigan Crossbow Federation was raffling off!!!   If anyone has tips for hunting them that would be great! Also is there anything I need to know about getting a crossbow and a muzzleloader across the line?

Crossbow can go over without a problem but likely would be best if you could borrow a muzzleloader from someone in Canada on the way by.

Was 99% sure I was going to use the matrix but would like the option of muzzleloader. If its that much of a pain I will just go with the matrix no biggy. Thanks for the reply.

CONGRATS!!! It was awesome to hear that one of our own Excalibur folks won the hunt!

I believe you were also the very first one to buy a square for the draw - good for you!

Looking forward to hearing the hunt stories! :D

All I know about bear is if he is after you run downhill and if there is water nearby get into it. By being in the water your blood might attract a muskie or shark or pirranna. Its a long shot but the fish may attack the bear instead of you. Hey, your so screwed anyway. OH, I forgot, don't play with the cubs. OH, OH, where a fairly heavy chain around your neck with a metal tag on it with your blood type. Hey!
If you want more just ask Boo.

If I remember right you have to pay a one time registration fee to get your muzzleloader into Canada. I would just run with your matrix, Canadian bear hunting was designed for archery gear. I wish they had called my numbers. Congrats and Good Luck!
