Fawns -Pic Added

Post by flightattendant100 »

Went out to the lease yesterday after work to see if Mr. Porker might show up at the feeder before dark.First things in we're a doe with a teenie tiny spotted fawn.It was really cool to get to watch the two of them.About 8:30 Mr. Porker showed up and I introduced him to Mr. Sierra. Mr.Porker is now a good porker.Hunted a diff. Stand this morn and saw another doe with a little bitty fawn with her.I watched them for a while and the fawn goes over and nurses on the doe.WOW I had never seen that before. No pigs showed so I went to the stand I had hunted Wed. Eve to swap SD cards and there were 6-8 piggies under the feeder. My luck. Sure was cool getting to see the itty bitty fawns tho. When I get home I will see if I got any pics of the fawns and I will post them.

Congrats on the pig I've been watching several big pregnant does on my trail cams but no fawns as of last week but I'm sure they'll be coming soon. These new born fawns are a site to see interacting with their mother.

Just the right size for a couple of buttered biscuits.

I've only gotten 1 set of pictures so far this year of a fawn.

Image

Got a bunch of others of does from behind or to the side of them scratching themselves with their hind legs. Their bags are really full. Other shots show their bellies really empty meaning they've already had their fawns.

The only bad thing is that I "might" get 1 coyote picture a month on a combination of all 3 cameras. The month of June, I had 3 separate sets of pictures of coyotes. They definitely know when the fawns are hitting the ground.

That`s awesome. It`s always great when mother nature shares those special moments with us. :)

Nice picture,Paul. Looks like the same feeder that you got those nice pics of the big strutting gobbler. Hope your deer hunting luck is better than your turkey luck. Maybe I could rent you the "Magic Robe". Sure hate to see you come up empty this Winter. I have a few pics of a couple of fawns on my Georgia lease. They were born on the 16 of June. Will post when I can get my kid to help me.
