I don't see any torn serving so I'm going to say that you have a case of serving separation. Assuming it is serving separation call Danny Miller 740 483 2312. He might want to see the string.
Matrix latches have been pretty good so I don't suspect rough latches.
No, do not shoot that string. Your accuracy will not be good and as Dan said above it will tear the string material and the string will eventually break.

ive pushed servings like that back together rotated the string and shot em some more in a pinch. best to get it reserved though. when they get like that i throw them in with my re-serve pile.always good to have a few extras.

Like everyone said don't shoot it.

Boo also has some videos on youtube how to re-serve a string. You have to have a way of putting tension on the string. I use my old vert bow press but serving a string is something everyone should learn to do. Will save you a lot of time and money.

Dan, it's pretty rare that I have trouble with my strings. I have some guys with well over 700 shots and still going. If asked, I tell guys they really only need one string. Many who have bought more than one take years to get to their second string. Wear is generally not an issue which is why I was surprised when I misread the post.

String separation on the stock strings is quite common, they are just not wrapped as tightly as they need to be. Need to learn to serve - or find someone who can do it for you - if you're going to use a crossbow. Even Boo strings - good as he makes 'em - will ultimately need re-serving.
