Texas Hog Hunting

Post by Species8472 »

I have a bunch of friends (no hunters unfortunately) that live in the Austin area and I wanted to plan a road trip down to Texas and thought it would be cool to hunt some hogs while down there.

Does anyone know a good outfitter/guide service in that area? I would prefer free range hogs (no high fences) and thought I would like to take two hogs. One with the new Matrix and the other with a 7mm-08. Also any comments on the best head weight/style for hogs would be appreciated as well as best rounds for the gun.

Thanks,

Joe

I'm a member of both these sites, kewldeals is the screen name there, and both have some guides or places to hunt pigs. I have never used any of these places, as I have hogs at our lease, and doesn't want to pay to shoot a hog
