This will be my 1st time usin swhackers, i do use RazorTricks alot. I was on a hog hunt 2 yrs ago Danny Miller came down & we all went to Ark. then over to OK. fer the Hunt. Danny shot thru a 3/4 plywood into a Rhinehart 18-1 & it were buried up 8-10" offhand shot at 20 yds almost dead center. Think i will try them out. I have 2 paks of the 2" 100grChris Dillard wrote:Do you use the Slick Tricks more often than Swackers?

I have decided on the Wasp 100 grain Jac- Hammer SST. They shoot really well out of the Exomax. Alabama season opens in about 8 weeks can't wait

Chris . . .sorry about being late to this party. : )
In the area that you are hunting, you need more cutting surface. The more cutting, the more bleeding, and the quicker they drop. I know there are variables, but, we kill via blood loss . . .cut, more bleed more.
Since switching to a large cut mechanical, I have only had one deer make it further than 50 yards and most have fallen within sight.
I even gut shot one that only went 20 yards.
You should be able to be accurate with about any mechanical with your Exomax . . .I've tested several and they are typically easy to shoot with accuracy.
The thing you need is more cutting. You may need a little more weight to punch through using larger blades.
On a 200 pound deer, I have found that 430 grains is enough weight to get a pass through using the large blades.
I have lost one, but, after looking closely, it looked like I had a deflection . . .unfortunately, that's part of the hunt.
Good luck.

Sumner, I feel exactly the same way. I think by climbing a little lower in the tree I'll catch more of the vitals along with all that extra cutting surface I'm going to kill and retrieve these big swamp bucks that have been getting away. I wish I had some photos to share of my hunting area. I have to go in by boat and occasionally have to wear chest waders to get to my stand locations. Big bucks are there though I can't wait
