Slick Tricks

Post by Dayelight »

Hey Guys and Gals,

I just ordered some Slick Trick 100gr. There have been too many great reviews and people saying how much they love slicks to ignore them any longer.

I ordered regular slicks. Are they going to be a problem out of my axiom? I didn't know they had specific ones for the xbow when I placed my order.
Also, whats this I hear about buying blades for the magnum and replacing the standard blades with them?
Any tips or pointers for using these would be appreciated. Ill be getting them in by the end of the week so I'm pretty pumped to try them. Hopefully my custom BEEs will be in from Danny by then.

Thanks,

Jesse

The 'standard' are 1" cut, the 'Magnums' are 1 1/8". Both will do the job, and yes, you can swap the blades, same ferrules.

Some guys report better accuracy w/ standards, fwiw. You'll have to shoot them to tell.

I you 'double lung' a deer w/ either of them, it will look like you took a 5" paint brush and slung paint on both sides of the deer. Do NOT be deceived by their appearance!

I'm getting back into hunting some this year. I'll be using the same arrow/bhead as you are........Have fun!

X2 I use the 125grain and absolutely love em. they fly great and cut even better. once I started using them I'll not use anything else.

I shot the 100gr, Mags last year and killed 3 deer 2 turkeys and a bear and they are an awesome broadhead. I cut some very nice holes like everyone says they knock slug holes in the animals. You can't go wrong with any Of the Slick tricks.

Good Luck
