Do many of you process your own deer? I have processed every deer I have ever shot and plan to continue.

I killed my 1st deer in 1962 by myself, i was in 7th grade. My Pa didn't deer hunt, i gutted it skinned it & cut it up abit crudely but i learned through the yrs. I have done so every yr i killed one or more

same here, when i was a child my dad taught me how to prepare and process.
same as i have done with my son and we are teaching my grandkids.

the kids know just how much spices they like in there sausage and bacon burger.

many sunday family dinners consist of
thin sliced backstraps fried up like country fried steak with gravy.....

Hard to tell about the buck. You might be able to zoom in on the original photo and change the brightness and/or contract and tell a little more about it.

Almost always butchered my own. Dad didn't deer hunt much when I was growing up but I came from a background that raised and butchered their own hogs and so forth. Have experimented with grinding hamburger and sausage over the years with cheep grinders without much luck, so had that done at a butcher shops. Finally got tired of the things that go along with that last year and got a good grinder. Now working on perfecting fat and seasoning ratios. :)
