Swhackers: 100gr or 125gr

Post by Tennessee Rebel »

Think I have my broad head narrowed down to Swackers. With my Matrix 380 and Diablos, would it be better to go with 100s or 125s?

Just shot a few more with 100 and 125 field points and it seems to like the 125s a little better. Guess that's what I'll go with.

I shoot both but on different bows, I went with 125 for the Matrix just because that's what I sighted in with.

They both shoot great but the 125 gr. has the larger cutting diameter so I would go with that one.

I found a couple of packages of 125 grain Swhackers at Walmart, about the only game in town in SE Iowa, and tried them. At 20 and 30 yards they shoot almost exactly the POI as 125 grain field points. I also have a package of 150 grain Bolt cutters and they also shoot to almost the same spot. Will have to decide which to use but will probably try the Swhackers first. Deer bow season here opens Oct 1. :D

I found a pack at Wal mart too. They were hidden behind 4 or 5 packs of 100s
