Which Grain and Type of Broadhead to use

Post by coyboy »

Hey Folks

I've owned my Exomag for about 12 years and I've always used 100 grain wasp broad heads. My crossbow shoots 228 fps consistently with this combo. I was told that if I go to a 150 grain I will shoot more consistently down range.

Any thoughts. I don't think they make Wasp broad heads any longer.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I don't see any reason to switch to a 150 gr. broadhead. I've killed everything I've hunted with a 100 gr. or less. I'm using a 100 gr. Slick Trick Mag and a 100 gr. QAD Exodus this year and they shoot great. Good Luck with your choices they're a lot of good ones out there.

I think you meant 328, eh? In any case, try Slick Tricks mag. in 100 or 125 gr Tough as nails, short 4 balded heads that fly so accurately and like my field tips I no longer practice with broadheads.
