Phoenix is ready

Post by Cossack »

Just fine tuned the sighting on my Phoenix and it's shooting 10X out to 60 yards.
Adjusted it's home-made string stoppers, waxed the string, checked all screws and arrows and rechecked POI at 30 through 60 yards with the intended hunting arrows. Don't plan on shooting at game that far but it makes me feel confident.
Vortex is next ... opener is the 14th.

No better feeling than knowing your equipment inside an out! watching an arrow hit the bull at different yardages an conditions (Just wines my clock  ) sounds like your ready! Good luck an may your arrows fly strait!

And now the Vortex is ready too. Still have a compound speed bow that I hunt occasionally but it will be one of the Excals to start, likely the Vortex.
