Need advice

Post by lswoody »

I'll be going for annual eye exam nxt month. Last yr the dr. told me I could get bi-focals. I asked what he would do and he said he would wait. I'm sure that I will need themthis time for real. Question is if my regular prescription hasn't changed, should I wear the glasses with bi-focals or my old glasses without the biFocals?? Wondering if bifocals will interfer with my vision while looking through a scope?? Thanks!!

I got so hacked off with my glasses steaming up I refocused the the scope so I could shoot without them.
But I only shoot 3ds,may not suit a hunting scenario.

I would get progressive lenses. No line in them and much better. No problem with scopes but with compounds verticals it is different. Had to get full time glasses. Could not shoot a compound for two years with glasses. I always wondered how people did it. I bought clarifiers and verifiers for my peeps and they worked but then poped out of my peep and lost eighty bucks. Got new glasses a year ago and got Nike Sport glasses and sit really tight to my face. Made me relize for two years shooting bows I was looking through the nose piece and not the glass. Told wife next time I need glasses I will take a bow in with me. lol

I wear glasses with a line bifocal.
When shooting thru my scope on
my 355 i look above the glasses,
sometimes i just take the glasses off when
shooting. The scope is clearer for me with no
glasses.

you can wear your old ones , bifocals are for near or far sighted pain in but when looking thru optics.
better an overkill than an underkill

Getting serious, unlike Stanley    I wear progressives and you'd find it difficult to look through your lower center part of your glasses. The tendency is to use the upper left quadrant of your right lens.
Sadly, I will be 60 this year!
