O/T My Nunavut Caribou / Wolf hunt.

Post by catcher »

Well I just got back from Nunavut from my Caribou / Wolf hunting trip with the HCAB crew. It was a awesome trip with many Caribou to be seen and stocked. The Caribou are the Barren Ground Caribou but definitely had 2 distinct types of racks although they are the same Caribou. One type had long beams and long tops and the other type had straight up beams and heavy mass webbing on top. I was lucky enough to take one of each. This is the tall top kind.

This the second type of tops of the 2 I got with really strong bezes and terrific double shovels.

Then I was very fortunate to get a shot off at this Arctic Wolf , there was actually 5 heading our way from over a mile and they ended up coming by us at 80 yards and I shot the biggest. A real northern trophy to have that is for sure. A full body mount for this guy.

And the fishing was unreal with 5 and 6 pounders every 5 th or 6 th cast. And oh so tasty.
