I went out hunting this afternoon in 75* weather.
The bugs weren't too bad!At 5:45pm i hear what sounded like a squirrel in back of my 18' stand,i turned my head and saw a large deer,i had to stand up and turn to the other side to get a shot at him,he walked right up my cleared shooting lane at 20yds and i bleated at him to stop him,he stood there looking as i raised my 355 put the 20yd shevron on his chest and fired.He crashed out the same way he came in but i heard large crash 20 seconds later and i said is he down?I resisted the urge to get down for 15 minutes.I saw blood on the trail from the tree so i started trailing him and found him 20yds away DOA.I shot him with a 2" cut Rocket 3 blade right thru the heart.The arrow was on the trail soaked in bright red blood.This was the fastest kill ever for me!
