Greetings from CT and question

Post by bobbythehunter »

greetings all

new member from CT where they just passed a law making it legal to hunt with crossbows during our 8 week bow season. bought a used Exocet (maybe 7 years old) from a neighbor who upgraded. seems to shot a 100 grain wasp jak hammer expandable real well and right to the same spot as the field points that came with the arrows. the bow included some dampening bars which attach to front of limbs but they were not installed. opinions on their effectiveness would be appreciated. oh by the way, put a truglo gobbler getter red dot type scope on it. no magnification. sighted in right on at 20 yards seems to be about 5 inches low at 35. does this seem about right? any other suggestions on quieting the bow are also welcome.

thanks

Trajectory sounds right. Make sure your hold down spring is about 5/16" off the rail, no 'tang' that way.
