I'm sure they would look after me, they have in the past and I even got a tour of the plant by Bill. I'm only 1 1/2 hrs away from the plant so I may give them a call and see what the turnaround time would be, it is October after all :D TC

Have you considered a Heli Coil repair kit ? They work very well and you can use the exact same size screw that came in your xbow . If your not familar with them just google it . Hope this helps :)

Something else to consider... the steel-laced two-part epoxy putty is good stuff, I've used it on a ton of different fixes and I always keep some on hand. It can be drilled and tapped and it's extremely strong, Quik-steel is one brand that comes to mind.

strum that is the first thing i would go for,
duct tape commonly refereed to as 200 mile an hour tape or rock and roll tape .ever notice thats all rock stars use to hold down cables at a concert . if its good enough for ac/dc its good enough for me

I stripped mine a long time ago, and used a similar idea to what is being described.
I used silicone to hold the bolt, my thought was that it would allow a bit of play when I tried to start the bolt, yet hold it in place.
It worked perfectly.

Thanks for all the replies and ideas. I ended up cutting a piece of 1/4" aluminum, marking it and drilling/tapping it. I had to tap it in place but I got it and it works :D . TC
