My Custom Matrix 355

I sold my 2012 Equinox and bought the new 2013 Matrix 355.

Dan (xcaliber) made me three of his custom flemish strings using 36 strands of Brownell XS2 material. The colors are cranberry and cedar, looks like berry pie. These strings are works of art.

I removed all four factory scope base screws and installed four new 8-32 #20 torx head screws. Installed my Leupold VX-I 2-7x33mm shotgun/muzzleloader NWTF edition scope with the turkey plex reticle in dark earth finish with Leupold rifleman detachable low rings.

Ordered and installed Danny Miller's Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers (His version of the R.E.D.S.), his over bow quiver.mount and a cheek piece.

I am working on some Easton 2219 aluminum shafts cut down to 18", 2" Bohning Blazer vanes with 150 grain SlickTricks Xbow broadheads.

What distance did you sight the Leupold in for?

Also, what length 8-32 screws did you use? I already had the scopemount base screws loosen up so I used some silcone on the threads (rather than loctite). Don't like the small shallow allen head screws though.

I never dry fired my Equinox, so I feel its unnecessary for me.

I really like how much more compact the Matrix 355 is to the Equinox.

I followed TheTinker story on how he changed out his screws. I did this for the Equinox and was the first thing I did for my Matrix 355. I cut the new screws to the factory screw length, but I didn't measure their actual length. Yes, I hate the small shallow allen head screws, but they are all gone now.

Yes, TheTinker actually designed the custom stops. Danny Miller sells them for only $25.00.

Wow I wish I knew he would make other colors, I just ordered some from him the other day. Might just have to get a few more for my new Matrix 355 beauty. Nice setup!
