Never heard one make a sound like that before. Did the broadhead cut the windpipe by chance?
As far as the sound being disturbing, I figure if you can't take the sounds, blood, and death of an animal, maybe you shouldn't be hunting. :roll: Since most of us here are hunters I don't think you'll upset too many people. :wink:

Wind pipe was intact, i have the neck in big pot cookin it down. I ain't found the swhacker yet, heck it maybe on the ground where the arrow came back out

swhacker ain't on the ground. Took a yard/leaf rake jus got back from searchin. So its either in the pot or it jus up n disappeared! Weren't but one 1" hole in the skin on the neck & no exit cut skin any where

Y'all this is becomin a mystery, thar ain't no broke off shank in the front insert. I jus screwed a field pt in it & spun it. Its good enuuff fer another shot out to 35 yds. I ain't found no swhacker in the pot! My Mrs informed me there were a small hole out the back of the deers neck. She saw it but never said any thing to me cause i was skinnin. I assumed the hole was from me slicin it wid my knife. My eyes jus ain't as good as yrs prior
