String material for matrix 380

The 450+ has a single strand breaking strength of 155#, the D97 that is the stock string on the Matrix bows has a single strand breaking strength of 125# which makes the 450+ 20% stronger by strand. The stock endless loop string has 28 strands, so if you want the speed, I would say 28 strands in the Flemish twist would be strong enough to provide a good stable string. If you want to tone it down, 34 strands should do it.

Are you sure about the numbers on Dynaflight? I emailed them and got 110 from them last year.

Lancaster Archery Supply, and Bowhunter's superstore have that as the listed SS breaking strength, but BCY makes it, so I would go with their evaluation. You have to be careful about what is said on the internet. Probably have the 450+ listed wrong as well.

String style (endless loop or Flemish), what bow it is going onto, how good the person making the string are all variables when considering strand count.
BCY offers a service where they'll record on a graph a string's breaking strength. Data from BCY direct is a good idea.
