Modified Equinox

Post by Carnivorous »

I picked up an Equinox back in August for a very good price @ Archers nook in London for a spare & for my Dad to use. I am a big fan of the Equinox full camo bow. I went in to just look around & left with a bow. Go figure!

I had my Dad try to cock the beast back & it was a real struggle for him & I can't say I could do it with ease either.

So we decided to take the plunge & send it to Danny Miller for a modification. He removed 3 inches of rail from the front end. This reduced the power stroke from 16.5" to 13.5". Basically it will now have the same specs as a Vixen. This is plenty fast to take down Turkey's & deer!!

Yesterday the rail arrived back to me & I can't say enough about the great job his machinist did on the Mod. This thing cock's like a dream & will come in @ the same length as the Matrix 380.

Now I need to just top it off with a used scope & it will be good to go!!

Go for it!! You can get these Equinox bows fairly cheap now that the Matrix series has taken over.

I may even use it before the season is over & leave the Matrix @ home!! :)

I actually had an old Varizone in my Archery box of goodies. Now it looks even more impressive with a scope on it!!!
