Deercation started well!

Post by Normous »

Every year I can't wait for my fall hunting days to start and we spend many hours making sure our equipment is performing well and our clothing is scent free.

This morning I decided to take this decent 8 point with my Matrix 380, TriggerTech unit and lever, 2-7 Leupold VXR, Black Eagle Zombies, NAP FOC 170 gr. 3" cut expandables and Lumenoks.

I combined my Wabi call and rattled him to 21 yards. My shot was double lung and he dropped at 40 yards. This year was my first year using the NAP FOC and it performed flawlessly, the blood loss was spectacular.

My Matrix with the triggerTech unit and Leupold scope is a pleasure to shoot and the trio functions synergistically together with Black Eagle arrows.

This year so far I have let the smaller spikes, 4 points and does walk since my preference was 8 or larger. Two more weeks and 4 more family tags should make our family hunting deercation very exciting.
