cold, windy day and no deer

Post by wabi »

Took my son out today with the muzzleloader (Ohio youth gun season) and it was downright nasty. Only around freezing temps but a good stout wind blowing made it seem much colder.
We set up in a ground blind, and I'll admit I'm glad he insisted we bring along the little propane heater (Coleman Sport Cat).
No deer sighted today (no real surprise with the wind we had), but we did have a good time just being outdoors together. Even had a pretty hard snow falling as we headed back home, but no accumulation.
At least he should sleep soundly tonight (I know I will).

We'll try it again tomorrow!

Yesterday, we had high temp 14 degrees Fahrenheit and 7 degrees Fahrenheit as our low. No matter this week is showing to be warmer in the 20's possible 30's degrees Fahrenheit highs during the days of Thanksgiving..
