Exomax 225 vs Matrix 380
Hi everyone. I've got the exomax 225 (350fps) which is literally in new condition. I love the look and performance of the new matrix 380 and I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with both of these? I'm considering an upgrade and just wanted some opinions as to weather or not it's worth doing.

Well the 380 will be faster wid same weight arrow! 380 is a smaller platform wid thumbhole stock. So it jus depends on what you really need or want! I am a mid sized person & i had a new E'max & sold it as it was abit too much nose heavy to suit me up in a tree stand

You have a bow that is capable of putting down anything up to and including an elephant. So you have to come to grips as to what else the 380 is going to do for you. Accuracy and reliability might be the tiniest bit better with the 380 because it has a cheek piece and an ADF.
The way I see it is that you bought a 225 lb bow to shoot flat and the 380 will do that better and it will be smaller and a lighter by 1/2 lb at the same time. The 380 will not get you anything you need but it will get more of what you want.

I've owned both. I sold them. My favorite offering is an Exocet 200, namely a Y-25. It does all I need/want.
I'd check on the current resale prices on the Emax, unless $ doesn't concern you.

I had the Equinox 225lb 350 FPS and sold it for the Matrix 240lb 355 FPS. I am glad I did this crossbow is so compact and packs for than enough power.

WOW!!! Thanks for all the input. Yeah, I'm aware that my E max is more than enough bow for anything I may hunt. I guess I just like the idea of a smaller, faster, lighter bow. I've also been told its quieter. The adf option is also a plus.
