traveling with xbow

I dont have one yet but was wondering if a person says goes to africa or some where, can you dissassemble your xbow and put in luggage so as to only have 1 bag and less hassle at airport.

Excaliburs can easily be broken down by removing 2 screws. Zero should be checked upon reassembly but you would want to do that anyway after the airline gorillas have handled it.

Excalibur recommends using a hard side double gun case.
In the instructional videos in the support section of this forum is a video about traveling, showing how easy it is to disassemble and store two pieces. Emphasis on the two don,t touch to avoid contact damage.
The great part is ,though target testing required before a hunt point of aim usually not going to change.
Have fun !

I only want 1 bag for luggage.
I went to africa 2 years ago with compound and case.
Had to go get case in a line up with rifle guys took forever as they had to show documents. I was only bow hunting and had to show nothing but had to wait in this line. PITA

You can break it down small by removing limbs from riser and removing mainframe from stock and stowing your Excalibur in your Stow Away.
However, anytime you remove limbs from the riser you HAVE to check your POI upon arrival. Mark the limbs somehow are re assemble them L and R as you removed them to lessen any change in impact.
Have fun!
