Beggars can't be choosers.

Post by UPSMAN »

After 6 weeks of really tough hunting, I finally pulled the trigger on a buck. I normally let these young bucks walk but after 6 weeks of no luck, and the need to fill the freezer, I was forced to whack this guy. It was by far, the most difficult year in several years for seeing quality bucks.

Dennis, I'd rather be lucky than good any day. My club in Ohio once produced an Ohio state record of over 200 inches before deductions. I saw one buck with antlers past it's ears. It's all a matter of being in the right place at the right time along with a good dose of luck.
You did good! Be proud man! Congratulations!

X2- I know I would be proud of a buck like that. Last Friday was the first time that I have seen anything close to that in the woods. I tend to be a meat hunter, and just can't pass up on a doe. I realize that if I show a little patience I may one day get that big buck.

Congtats on the deer....RR

Boo, I was really worried that the robe had lost the magic. Turkey season is a mere 10 weeks away.

Paul, Will most surely have to bring it to TX. I hope to be sending you some nice Osceola photos real soon. I'm going to put the cameras out next week when I fill the feeders.
