matrix blew apart

while firing my matrix 355 today the ends of the limbs where the strings attach literally blew apart, nothing left on one side except the bare resin limb, and other side blew almost completely apart. Called my dealer and they said they would look into warranty for me, my question is why would this happen? Bow has never been dry fired since I've had it, it was assembled when i bought it but has had about 30 bolts fired through it since then. wondering if anyone has any ideas

How are we to know how it happened with so little information. Bolts to light maybe? Call Excalibur is your best bet.

A photo would help the forum's ability to address your concerns. It is hard to believe such an event with both sides gone. I have said it before and I will say it again to first time posters claiming this- pics or it didn't happen and we have yet to see any photo as evidence.

Unfortunate to hear but Excalibur's support is second to none. I'm sure you'll be well cared for. I don't believe I have heard of this happening before so it seems a rare situation.

oh ya, almost forgot! The 355 does not have an ADF. I urge you to put one on.

I want to believe that people are honestly reporting what actually happened...but my suspicion stems from the fact that each time it seems they have JUST JOINED THE FORUM....so as much as I want to believe that EVERYONE is honest...I have to defer to the rest and say., "images or it did not happen!"

Peter (Excalibur Marketing Dude) said Matrix limb problems are user related.

I have the Matrix 355 and its limbs are solid built. If this truly happened I am with everyone else I need proof.

That's not normal, I've been shooting excalibur crossbows since 2004 and never had anything like that happen. I'll believe it when I see it, PICTURES!

The truth is that this is a very welcoming forum, unfortunately there is a reason why we have become sceptical when it comes to a post/poster like this. Its ok to be sceptical, but polite which i think we all have been.

If the OP is kind enough to provide a photograph we can help him out in any way we can.

My local shop said he was told this has been happening when people let the brace height get too low on the Matrix bows. Now I don't know if Excal told him that or Woodys. He had one come back that had done this same thing.
