Discontinued for 2014?

Post by James Hutchison »

Have the Equinox, Exomax, Vortex, Exocet200 and Eclipse XT been discontinued for 2014? I am a new member of this forum and have learned volumes reading topics for a couple weeks. Just got my first Xbow an Exocet 200 this Christmas.

Don't be discouraged about your new bow being discontinued. Excalibur crossbows are like the Browning Citories of the shotgun world. They are the best made and save for changing strings, they are indestructable. That bow will outlast you. Shoot and enjoy it. Most likely you kids will inherit it and still be shooting it once you pass on. You never go wrong buying the best. My son has an Exocet and loves it. It being discontinued has nothing to do with how good it is. Cheers.

The SMF bows are the bread and butter bows for Excalibur. Between the components for them and the current bows just about everything will still be used and made for years to come.

If the bows are discontinued why are they still listed on the 2014 website?

I shoot an Exocet 200. Done lots of mods to it. Shoots crazy accurate and super smooth. Look after your bow and it will serve you very well.
Just because new models come out doesn't make your bow obsolete in any way that will effect your using it with much success.
Just watch the video of an Old Model taking down a Bull Elephant...Nuf said?

Is there an official communication issued by Excalibur on the subject. Have looked everywhere but have not found a thing issued thru Excalibur. A lot of people making statements on what is in and what are out starting this year.
Would nice to have Excalibur step up rather than leave it to the rumor mill or self-appointed spokespersons.

Or is this the new world order where the rumor mill will dictate marketing.
Sometimes if rumors are not address they take on a life of their own eventually becoming a Self-fulfilling prophecy.

Vixenmaster....I am not doubting you BUT where did you see the OFFICIAL announcement from the Bowtech/Excal team? I find it unusual that the NEW 2014 additions to the Bowtech/Excal line are on the site and released with GREAT fanfare yet those bows being discontinued are STILL listed and are being given a quiet funeral! Where is the Marketing Dude when you need him!! I personally do not appreciate the attempt to "slip" this by the consumer without an OFFICIAL release. This is NOT the Excal I have known! :(

Why the drama? The 2014 catalog shows Matrix,SMF sand Vixen.Since there are likely to be some stock of the other long limb bows at reatailers having them on the site for reference makes sense.

Tim50, give it a rest? It's the end of hunting season followed by the ATA show.

You seem to gravitate toward controversy..........

Dan....Did I start this controversy? Can you really tell me you feel this is being handled properly?? By Bowtech/Excal NOT coming out with an OFFICIAL statement it is putting themselves at the mercy of the forums! This may all just be a rumor! Excal has always been honest & forthcoming in the past! Where is the Marketing Dude to put an end to this??
