another little adams county buck

Post by wabi »

Looks like my home county in southwest Ohio is still producing some decent bucks.
This one was killed about 4-5 miles from where I live during the recent muzzleloader season.

That was an awesome buck that he shot though.
Congrats on your buck Mike. I just have one questions. Did you have that buck tied with a spool of thread,   ? I think you had him on a fairly long piece of sewing thread so he couldn't get away from you when you were ready to pull himm to the back door of your house,    . Come on now, tell us the truth, that is thread wrap around his right side horn isn't it you forgot to hide the evidence,     . Hey will you come here and show me how to tie one up so I can have one here to shoot for myself next year when I am feeling good,    .
Nice deer though. Congrats Mike and thanks for sharing the photos with us.
Thanks,
Raymond

I picture those guys high five-ing and celebrating and hooting and hollering and then the truth sets in and they look at each other and one says, "Now how the hell are we going to get this big buck home?"

Wabi, i was emailed a few weeks back a picture of a couple of brothers from your neck of the woods (it said adams county ) with two tremendous bucks. I looked and cannot find it now so I must have canned it. The picture looked like it was from a newspaper if i remember. You got any knowledge of this or am i confusing this with some other adams county somewhere?

He was MASSIVE. The succesfull hunter's smile says it all.

Wish Oklahoma's archery season went to February 2nd as the article said. Ours ended on Jan.15th.

My season didn't work out as I had planned. I was sick with the flue for a couple weeks but I still occasionally hunted. What do you see when you keep coughing & blowing your nose? Snot a lot. LOL.

The few deer I did see (other than on my cameras) were doe and the distance was past my comfort zone. Then just before Christmas I passed out & fell and Dr. ordered me to stay off my feet (Lisfranc foot injury). You should always listen to your Dr. because as I found out you can make things worse if you don't. Dr. says it will keep hurting and have swelling for months but I've got to get well before spring to hunt turkey.
What you do next reflects what you believe.

Haven't heard about it, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Actually that's a "zip tie" holding the temporary tag in a plastic zip lock bag. Found out it's best to secure the tag very well or it might blow off on the drive to get the permanent tag.

I sure missed that article.
Yes, that is my home county. McCoy lumber has a lot of land around the county and I guess the boys take full advantage of it.
