Canadian Archers for a Cause - Colby Classic!

Post by VixChix »

It's coming up!

The Colby Classic - the "Shoot for a Cure" held at the Bow Shop/Shooters Choice in Waterloo - Feb. 14 & 15

It's 60 shots at 20 yards to qualify on Friday night or Sat. a.m., then a top 16 shoot-off on Sat. afternoon for men & women shooting separately. All bows welcome - would LOVE to see more crossbows at this event.

Come out and shoot for a great cause! If you don't feel like shooting, then come and support the event by making donations, buying tickets for the raffles, and participating in the silent auctions. Also consider donating items for the raffle, or making a cash donation to the event.

The Saturday flights for qualifying are all full but they are taking names for waiting lists. There are still openings for Friday night - I'll be there, as well as DoeMaster and Wheelie. Come out and give us a run for our money!

If you are sitting on the fence . This is a fun shoot to watch or shoot in . Is it serious ? Well sort of . Is cancer serious ?
The winner of the shoot gets a pink arrow . So we are not doing it for the big prize . :)

Sometimes I wish work would slow down. But thankful for the swamping of work while my wife is sick and out of work for two years. Have not even had a chance to lineup three target bows that I put new scopes on. Guess I should close my eyes and pick one to lineup and bring.

Three yards short in my house for the 20 yards the shoot will be. Shooting a slow bow and three yards out on ranging, that's the difference between a double lung shot and hitting one in the hoof.

Actually I believe she was somewhere from 8th to 10th . :) There was some champion class archers there for both mens division and womens .
The top shooter is the past worlds champion . He shot 56 out of 60 arrows in a 1 inch circle . The other 4 were supposedly just out .
