Im looking for input on buying a good quality fletching jig that won't break the bank but won't break period. I reload my own ammo and I'm anal about quality of the end product I want a jig that will give me a professional looking job at a real world price and functionality any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks

Re: first and last fletching jig
The e z fletch is great for cost and functionality, but it is plastic. At a higher cost you have the Bitzenberger jig. VERY adjustable, very precise, very dependable. You'll never wear it out. I may be mistaken but I believe that's what Big John uses...I think. It all depends what you're looking for and how much $$$$ you want to spend.

That's the king of fletching jigs I just thought the Arizona fit the "real world price" tag he mentioned.
Re: first and last fletching jig
I have 3 diff. fletchers but I seem to always go to
my ez fletch bolt.
Some here have had some complaints about them
and I know there are better ones out there,
but it works great for me and the price is right.

You can go to the For Sale area here and on Archerytalk.com and get a Bitz for under $40.00. I know because I worked a deal with a fellow hunter in theSwamp Donky wrote:***BITZENBURGER DIAL-O-Fletch*** works the very best and will outlast its owner! Great investment, IMO...
For Sale area and got a Like New Bitz, to my door, dirt cheap.
Remember so people just like to rotate their toys so they can buy new ones.

Re: first and last fletching jig
I have owned the EZ Fletch and the Bitz. Both did the job. But I sold those and bought the one Firenock sells and very glad I did. You can buy just parts of it so you do not have to buy the hole kit and it makes it so you spend a little more than if you bought a Bitz.
I bought a laser off ebay and mounted it and made my own holding jig. best jig I have ever owed. I kept my right clamp from my bitz. jig and use it . If I use Dorge's glue or the glue Jerry uses at South Shore Archery I can do arrows as fast as I could with the EZ fletcher. I no longer have arms and vanes that are glue to each other and the shaft. If I loose one vane I clean that area line the laser up with one of the vanes rotate the shaft in the holder and fletch one vane. Not sure why I cannot get pic to post will have to work on that I guess.

Re: first and last fletching jig
Bitz' gigs are good. However, since I got the Bohning tower, I do not use anything else...

Now this is a Gig!! I thought about buying one of these... Then, I thought what it would be like to have to live on ramen noodles, venison and water for 2 wks.! Whole lotta coin for one...diesel wrote:I have owned the EZ Fletch and the Bitz. Both did the job. But I sold those and bought the one Firenock sells and very glad I did. Re: first and last fletching jig
AZ EZ Fletch, Bolt all the way. First few arrows are iffy then everything is good. You can buy parts if required. They are not expensive.
