I liked mine a lot. Had no problems with distortion, etc.
But I was hunting one morning during cold foggy, rainy weather out of a blind and it turned muddy looking inside it. It cleared up some after a few days but never got back to normal. I sent it in for a swap a month ago and am still waiting for my new Leupold Crossbones along with the replacement limbs for my bow and a few other items.

I just bought a matrix 355 with the tak zone and I find that it's ok, but not the best scope possible. I think they put a different scope on the matrix405 for a reason.

I don't like it. Came with new 380. Once you set focus there is no lock ring to hold it in place. Eye relief fussy. Scope covers don't release easily and end up turning focus ring. Go Leopold.

I might have the other good one. Over 200 shots and still ok . But after reading post after post I found myself doing some internet shopping for a new crossbow scope. I think I'm spooked that I'll have a failure at a bad time. :(

I thought it was marginal at low light and eye relief was poor, but I have really bad eyes. Sent it back and they sent me a new one which I am going to sell, so customer service is awesome. Just received a 2-7VXR and am waiting on rings.

Mine works quite well for me out 60 yards. I haven't tried it any further than that. I have no hesitation taking it hunting for typical crossbow distances.

Considering my personal schedule and the hunting seasons in this state, days in the field are precious. The cost of equipment is relatively low in comparison to other factors. If I thought upgrading the scope or trigger would make a difference for my enjoyment or success, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to do it. It doesn't seem like it will be necessary.

Some folks have had bad experiences or the scope doesn't work for their eyes. Others just want the absolute best gear and more power to them. For the typical person, it seems like it gets the job done quite sufficiently.

Hardly used my tact zone.Do not like the small field of vision.Replaced it with a dlx.Better now and yes the bow is a tack driver.

If you hunt close to home, no big deal. If you travel on big hunts there are better options. Several of my hunting group are on 100% fail rate! not good when on fly in hunt. I carry spare xcal fixed sites in case they need them. Mine wears Leupold.

If you want to use small compact optics , You MUST buy better quality optics !
