Post by bobcattrapper »

Reason I ask Is I see Cabela's have em in stock online .It says it comes with a 30mm scope, lighted reticles, anti dry fire system and the cheek piece.I been thinking about ordering one so thought I'd ask if these companies order different packages or its wrong what it says in description. Thanks!

According to the information I have, the Matrix 330, as available from the factory, comes in Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity camo, (the Cheek piece, Guardian or REDS are not included) and the accessories included are the Lite-Stuff package and a Varizone Scope.

If anything else is available, I would assume that it's the individual dealers that are providing that option.

Bobcattrapper, I see what you mean.

Here's the info I copied from Cabelas website:

  • Excalibur Matrix 330 Crossbow

Decked out in Mossy Oak® Break-Up Infinity® camo and packing a big punch, the Excalibur Matrix 330 Crossbow is ideal for hardcore, late-season big-game hunters. Integrated Recoil Energy Dissipation System string suppressors reduce vibration for a quiet shot you can hardly feel. Matrix String is made of BCY Dynaflight 97, reducing creep and maximizing speed. Dry firing is prevented by the Guardian Anti-Dry-Fire System. Comes with a Tact-Zone Scope that uses 1/2" adjustments at 20 yards along with speed adjustments from 275 to 410 fps make this scope a breeze to set up and shoot. Multireticle scope with red or green illuminated reticles delivers positive acquisition. Adjustable rheostat provides custom light intensity. Multicoated lenses and 30mm tube increase low-light performance. Runs on one CR-2032 battery (included). Includes 30mm rings, a cheekpiece, a four-arrow quiver with bracket, four Diablo arrows, four 150-gr. field points and a rope-cocking aid.

Speed: 330 fps at 350 gr.
    Power stroke: 11.37".
    Draw wt: 220 lbs.
    Length: 33.87".
    Width: 26.87" cocked, 30.62" uncocked.
    Wt: 5.1 lbs.
    Camo pattern: Mossy Oak® Break-Up Infinity®.
[/i]

That makes a person wonder. :?

I was going to say it was probably a mistake in their product description. Its not unusual, often the image doesn't match the product description either, but after Comfybear's post it does make you wonder. Suppose they had a run of 330's made as an exclusive "cabela's-only" package? I know they do it with package guns, a lot of major retailers do it with all kinds of products.

Either there's something we don't know, or you beat them at their own game. In either case, it appears that you did better than most.

Congrats!

I don't know if its congrats or not.Long story short I got a message on my machine from a product specialist later in the day.Had to finally call corporate and she will let me know Monday whats in the box lol I finally got fed up and tried to cancel my order after that but was too late as it will be here Tuesday. If they don't make it right Ill ask for a shipper call tag.Wonder how long it will still say you get all that stuff on there website. They still think I'm getting that scope too! But no one at Cabela's knows exactly whats in the mystery box lol

Cabela's corporate called this morning and told me to there knowledge everything it says comes with it.But....they said they could not open a box to find out.I was also told if it doesn't come with what it says all they can and will do is offer me a refund. They cannot or will not give me that stuff it says it comes with if it don't even though I paid for it.I even ask so maybe give me a case or some bolts then. NOPE!So I told her to cancel my order from UPS before I get it tomorrow.Probably go in the bargin cave for someone to get a good deal on.Remember when the Customer use to be right? Well not anymore.

Bummer. I was anxious to see how it played out for you. It might have been the nudge I need to get me off the fence and order my 330!

I bet if you shop around you can find a 330 at a low enough price that you can add the other accessories and come out pretty close. Danny's bumpers are 50% less than the Excalibur ones and last longer. He also has a pretty good price on the ADF and cheek piece. Cabela's always seems to be one of the more expensive places to get Excalibur gear.
