Not such a good story up here. Big buck was attacted by coyotes and deer ran out on Ice and fell through. Firemen tried to get deer out of the ice but it the deer was to heavy. Deer was suffering from wounds from coyote attact. One cop took 8 shots with pistol and missed and they bought out a rifle and shot the deer.

LOL a few years ago, there was a MOOSE in my city running around just a few blocks from where I was living. After the police caught up to it, I believe after a collision with a car, a police officer shot more then 8 times with a pistol, then finally someone came with a shotgun and one shot dispatched it.

And they think us hunters are dangerous with guns.

Here in the KW area I have seen the police shoot! The standing joke is that if they are shooting at you, to "stand still " you wouldn't want to run into an errant shot

Awesome! I think the cop that missed 8 times needs more range time :)

Perhaps they should issue them all rifles/shotguns to avoid them having to shoot an animal with a .40cal pistol. Besides they get about 2hours a year on the range, not their choice. Its the politicians that control both budget and adequacy standards. Just saying I know quite a few and some hunt and would have no problem dispatching an animal quickly and humanely others not so much.
