I just got a pair of Danny Miller's pliers, they work great!

I've gone pretty much to shooting only Easton full metal jacket arrows at my 18:1. No matter what head on have on them, I can easily remove them without using my Danny Miller pliers. If I shoot any of my other carbon arrows at it...then I need to use the pliers to break them loose from the target.

I guess not all Rinehart material is made the same
This is true. I once had a new 18-1 that I only shot 3 times w/ GT's. Even w/ Danny's puller, they would not pull out.

I had to get a buddy to help me. Since then, I've gotten another 18-1, Rinehart's answer was wrong compound used in the mfg process.........

In all fairness, they did tell me that the GT's were a problem for them.

The faster the impact speed, the higher the friction and heat produced. It's the heat from friction that melts the foam to the arrow shaft, but for some reason as lvt01 noted, aluminum doesn't seem to stick so badly.

I'm thinking that it has to do with the porousness of the carbon versus the aluminum. Wondering if the carbon doesn't create more friction entering the target, thus causing the shaft to "weld" itself to the target material more. My thought anyway.
