Turkey season starts for me march 22nd and for the first time in two years i don't have to work!!
I went to the range today with a dozen arrows & culled my three best shooters using my practice heads, stacking them at 40yds.
I'm hunting public land...no food plots, fields or blinds. Just going to run & gun the swamps with my Vixen!!
The area's i'm hunting have a fair amount of birds but TON'S of hogs.
I'll be packin spitfires for mr. gobble gobble & slick standards for porky.
Man i'm stoked!!

Sounds like a good time. Turkey season does not start here until April 12th. Hoping to find where some are roosting and try to sweet talk them. Using hen decoys and I got that funky chicken decoy. Gonna see if some tom wants to give him whipping. No hogs around here. Like to go hunt some someday.

Trying to decide if I want to make the 12 hour round trip drive to hunt the opener. I'm on vacation in 2 more weeks but I hate the thought of missing opening day. Guess I'll mull it over during the week.
