Knowing how well they treat their customers, these new trigger units will most likely get some extra attention in making sure the trigger is perfect.

I ask because I have not seen any mention of this. I even asked in the recall thread. Hopefully Peter will answer.
Hate to get a heavier trigger back than what I had before sending it back. I already put the scale to it.

Have you considered just getting a trigger tech trigger? They are so superior I'm honestly shocked that Excalibur doesn't already have them on their bows. Or at least offer them as an option. Nonetheless, that is my recommendation.

I heard the trigger on the 405 is greatly improved but it will still be no match for the trigger tech. I'm not sure if you've ever shot a tt, but once you do I guaranty you won't look back.

Considering the geometry of the inside of the trigger . The trigger pull should be the same .

i have both style trigger techs and can be a nice choice in some cases. i have had some very good stock triggers on my Excaliburs as well as a few slicked up by Danny.i hope owners dont feel they have to jump ship and spend more money on an already expensive xbow.

In beginning it was Excalibur's custom trigger and their limbs which set them apart and made them better than any other crossbow available back then.

As has been seen since, Excalibur has been innovative and have always striven to market the best product they possible could. Therefore, if in their opinion, they believe the time has come to include the Triggertech triggers as part their OEM product they will do so.

However, if for what ever reason, they do not and we as consumers, are not satisfied with the their triggers ...well we have options.

Personally I do not believe that it should be necessary to immediately after purchasing a product to have to replace one of its components.

In the end, like always, the laws of supply and demand will prevail.

The kind of price tag that is on the 405 Matrix, it should have a premium trigger on it.
I just got mine and probably won't have enough time to practice for turkey season with it now since I have to send it back!!!! :(

Premium accessories come at a premium.

Imagine the cost of a 405 with: TT trigger, boo string, black eagle arrows and a leupold scope included in the kit. They have to keep it simple for two reasons: most people are happy with their kit as is and to keep prices low enough to compete with other manufacturers who also don't include any of the premium features I listed.

It really sucks that your trigger needed to be replaced, but be patient, the company has a long track record of doing right by it's customers. In the long run, I'll bet that you'll be very happy with your purchase. If not, send me a PM and I'll buy it.

The trigger pull weight and feel will be the same. The trigger geometry is not changing. The only change will be the hardness of the sear components.
