I've found The Ladz that grow up here (and a fair handful of The Gals) are pretty Serious about their Hunting & Fishing. Tends to Show a little...

Might have a little something to do with the Quality of the equipment too though...

I enjoyed reading your report.

I'll bet that once you are more familiar with your bow you will be able to shoot some nice groups.

I would use one just large enough to get the screws through .

Nog, my first TT was a 2 stage for my Equinox, when I bought it I wanted to get the target trigger but was a little concerned about getting excited in the stand and havin' a premature "shot" if you know what I mean.. I also used to shoot competitively in the Corps, specialized in long range and am very partial to light triggers. The boys at TT pretty much talked me out of the target trigger as I pretty much use my bow just for practice and hunting (no competition, yet!). I sold that bow to my brother and picked up "Spike" (355) and put in a single stage TT trigger. Thought about the target version again and was again talked out of it. I shoot it very well, do a lot of off-hand like you (not quite to that level though!) and wish I had gotten the target version now. I have single set triggers on many of my rifles and others set at 2.0 lbs so I should have just trusted myself and went for it. Not disappointed in what I have, just now have the itch to try the target version. Maybe next year! Nice shootin Bud!

So is this a new single stage trigger they are coming out with? I have been searching for their 2 stage matrix target trigger but it has been discontinued. Is this the replacement for that one?

Don't think so - I started this thread well over a year ago now.
I see on TT's site that they still have the two-stage Hunter at 2.5 pound pull and a single stage at the same weight for the Matrix series. Looks like the lighter ones may no longer be available, but it could be worth a shout to Frank there to see if he might be able to accommodate...

Your shooting is outstanding! Personally, I wish I'd not been talked out of a 1.5# trigger into a 2.5#. I'm used to light triggers on my 2 varmint/do all rifles which makes the 2.5# trigger seem heavy but very smooth and consistent.
My groups are close yo yours but all with a benchrest set up. All by stands have rests. Offhand, I can't come close to what you did.
Thank you for your report.
