Setting Scope speed dial, or magnification
I was asked to post this again, and it makes sense as this is the time of year that people buy new toys. Some scopes have speed dial settings, some have magnification settings used to dial in your POI at different distances. This is a proven method, and it takes a lot of fiddling time out of the process. You must follow these instructions very closely, and have a good understanding of what they mean prior to hitting the range. I will try to keep it short, and simple. If you can snap a picture, or print out a copy if needed, it might go a long way. Here we go!
1. Set your scope dead on at twenty yards. Make sure your scope is level with the limbs, if not you can be off horizontally as distances increase.
2. Move target out to another distance. If you plan to shoot out to 50 yards, that will be fine! You must have an idea how far your bolt weight, and expected speed will allow the drop of your bolt at this distance. There is a chart on this site that has a general graph for this. Always assume a little more! Let's use 30" at 50 yards with 300FPS.
Set a dot on top of the target that will have at least 36" to the bottom of the target.
3. Use a bench, and rest for this please! Aim at the top dot using your 20 yard reticle expecting to impact low! Do a few shots like this. Now set your scope reticle for twenty yards on that top dot again, and hold it on there, increase, or decrease your speed dial until the 50 yard reticle is on the arrows you fired, you are almost dead on now! To test this, off your rest shoot at the center bulls eye at 50 yards using the 50 yard reticle, you should be right in there!
Good luck, and remember, the speed rings are for setting up your rig, and really don't represent accurate speeds that a chronograph would verify!
Hope this makes sense, and helps get the job done quickly for you.

Re: Setting Scope speed dial, or magnification
This is just how I do it-I start at 10 yds using the bottom part of top scope post note scope is a Horton/Hawke scope than I move back to 20 yds using the middle cross hair post. Recheck my 10 yard again at 10 yds. Then recheck my 20 yard sight in middle crosshair again at 20 yds. Then I move out to 30 yard target using my 2nd line inside scope and if shooting low move speed ring low. And if shooting high move speed ring higher or increase magnification on scope til hitting point of aim on target. Note don't have a crony but am able to tube arrows at 30 yds which is a bad thing I guess on arrows and wallet

Xcal, tanks for reposting your site in instructions. Went out to re site my 330 using your instructions. Only took a couple clikes for the 20 yrd. so I move wright out to the 50 yrd. Picked my spot and made the first shot with 20 yrd. pin and moved the 50 yrd. pin as you said. Well you know how it is when you pull the trigger you just know you moved or jerked and it just wasn't a good shot. That's the way my first shot felt with the 50 yrd pin after adjusting, so I decided to shoot for the same spot with a second bolt. Turns out my first shot was good and the second shot was just as good. I now have a long handled paint brush that looks a lot like a messed up bolt.
