Hi, just wondering if some of you may be able to help me out. I was trying to sight in my Matrix 355 today, and I was having a heck of a time getting my arrows to fly right. I'm using 4 Black Eagle Executioners. 2 cut at 20" and 2 at 18". Each length has a 92gr. and a 115gr. insert, and I'm using 100 grain heads.
I originally started with the 92gr. 18", and got it sighted in pretty well with my field tips, but when I put on my broadheads (100gr. Slick Trick Mags) it was shooting 3" left. So, then I tried my other arrows and just couldn't get any good groupings...granted at this point, I was messing around with it for 2+ hours and I'm sure I was getting a little annoyed, so I stopped. I start with my lead sled at 20yds, then move out to 50yds for fine tuning.
I thought maybe someone could tell me what setup you have that is getting good groups?
Thanks for any help!

Do yer vanes have helical or offset? Or are they fletched straight ? What length vanes ?
Re: Matrix 355 - What's your arrow setup?
A couple of things to check besides your arrows. Make sure all the bolts and screws are tight on the bow and scope. I have seen this cause issues with arrows not grouping. Also if you are using a lead sled make sure to hold onto the front grip of the crossbow because if you don't this can cause erratic arrow flight.

Arrows that hit dead on with field points then hit left with a broadhead indicate a stiff spined arrow. To weaken the spine try a longer arrow and/or a heavier point. Vanes specially made for broadhead flight such as Blazer vanes fletched with a helical will help also.

I'm using 2" blazer vanes with 3° helical.
During my first hour or so, I did notice but the screws on the scope mount base has come loose. I did retighten and kept going. Switching to the 115gr. inserts I went from hitting 3" left to about 1.5 inches low and left. I was out there for so long yesterday and kept getting more frustrated as I kept changing, I really should have kept notes.

Re: Matrix 355 - What's your arrow setup?
Thanks Bob, that sounds like what I was trying yesterday. I did try the 110 grain inserts in my 18" arrow, but I just couldn't get it...as cspot suggested, maybe I wasn't holding onto the front of my xbow in the lead sled. I'll inspect my setup and try those again.

My 355 ison layaway so i also will have to shoot it some to see what it likes. I have BEE's in 18 & 19", ihave GTII in 20" that i can cut down & i have 20" 2216's that can be cut n set up. I figure one or 2 of the 3 should give me some accurate arrows wid me BH's

I'm using GT Laser 2 @ 18" with 100 grains. Total of 390 grains, very accurate for me. Found scope mount comes loose easily, lock tite all screws, no issues since doing that! Good luck, and enjoy!
