Saturday morning shed hunt

Post by ninepointer »

With the snow here finally disappearing in patches, I took my lab for a walk to flush some woodcock and hopefully find sheds.

Long abandoned, I wonder what stories it could tell?

And another one.

Only flushed one woodcock, but the dog had a blast! Crazy water dog!

Success!

Thanks for sharing the pictures nice dog as well. Its funny I sometimes find a few old treestands while hunting up in northern Michigan some are being consumed by the tree they were placed in and I always wonder what stories they could tell. Looks like the majority of deer survived the winter well in your area. Take care.

Wow that is a deer yard. Looks like a lot of traffic. I have been out last 4 weekend and found 4 sheds. A nice 8 dropped both of his at the same spot about 3 foot apart. There some nice pictures. I had some old wooden stands around here that are long gone along with the hunters that used them Iam sure and often wondered the stories they could tell.
