New 355

Post by snuffbox »

Just arrived from the Good ole US of A.
Matrix 355 in box with tact zone and quiver for the princely sum of $500 ex service stock from BassPro.
Full warranty ,well it is an Excalibur so goes without saying.
Actually there was 15% off that price but plus 8% tax and shipping so just over $500 all in.

It's my second.....
Just thinking about what I'm going to customise on it.
I shall definitely be shortening it to a 9 1/2" draw ,makes it about 160 lb draw.
I'm thinking about turning it into a blackout.

Snuff, what does one do with an Excalibur 355 in nw London? Do you have any opportunities for hunting or just target shooting?

No bow hunting over here I'm afraid.
We (wife and myself) belong to the National Field Archery Society,so most weekends we go out to 3d shoots.
Shoots are usually held on Sundays although some are weekend affairs that we take a caravan away to.
Go off on a Friday shoot Saturday and Sunday and return on Monday.
Usually travel 20-120 miles for these although sometimes travel a little further.
Shoots are usually 40 targets and attended by up to 180 people.
Actually our Society limits our bow speed to 300fps so the matrix gets shortened to 9 1/2" to give me an arrow speed of 285 fps 300gn arrow.
The bows have to be cocked by hand,no cocking aid allowed.

Congrats

There's a little lady in Ireland wanting that vixen, just waiting to see if the powers that be will grant her a fire arms certificate for it.
They be a bit funny over there..
Shame you can't get a custom paint job done on the wife's bow
