Plastic or Aluminum Nocks?

I'm just curious. What's your preference and why? Thanks for answering.

I've been using plastic for a long time, there lighter not hard on the string as alum sometimes can be, I use feathers so at the tail end of my sticks is 20grs which allows me to shoot any BH I want. plastic nock 14grs, 3 or 4 '' feathers 6grs total weight for 3= 20grs

Aluminum if possible. A failed plastic nock once caused my compound) crossbow
to 'spontaneously disassemble.'
Vortex, Phoenix, single-shot rifles and handguns.

Well I use plastic because the plastic nock is lighter than the aluminum nock, Weigh them both and you will see the difference. When you are trying to get sufficient FOC lighter at the back of the arrow is better. I have never had a failure and I had an Exomax for four years. Just my experience.

I believe Boo mentions on his site aluminium when damaged is sharper than plastic, which can damage the serving. From what I have seen half moon nocks when struck have always seemed to produce sharper edges than flats being the shape they are.

Ever try the 2" Rayzr feathers? They seem to provide as much control as a Blazer and only weigh 1.4gr each
