Young lads first turkey
Well took the young lad out this morning to try and harvest his first turkey. Arrived at the ground blind around 5:00am this morning, flush a bunch of birds off there roost on the way in. Finally got settled in the blind, within a half hour had a nice Tom answering my calls. Just broke daylight and 10 minutes later he was coming in, tail flared, i swear i could hear my sons heart beat as he approached the decoys. Christened his new 870. The bird weighed 20lbs with a 7" beard, 3/4" spurs. He was pretty happy, best birthday present he could have got. Pretty proud dad I will post pics when i figure it out.

Congrads are definitely in order....as has been said over and over and over, "take a kid hunting and you will never have to hunt for your kids".......seemed to have worked with my two sons 28 and 23....always have loved and respected hunting and never in any real trouble at all!
