'Nuff bow ??

Post by joel0711 »

I'm presently using an exocet for deer hunting. . My grandson has taken to using it on our hunts together. That's fine with me as our hunts are normally for him to do the shooting. He made a good lung shot this year at 32 yards. I have a non-excalibur crossbow with 10.5 inches power stroke and 150 pounds draw. Would this bow be suitable for me for deer,,hog within 25 yards using my gold tip laser 2's and 125grain mussy's ????
Gonna have to get some more excaliburs. Got 3 more grandkids coming on and 2 of them are ready to go !! One of small benefits of gettin' older I guess, I enjoy their hunting more than mine..... thanks for the input.......

My first crossbow was a 150lb Horton...killed several deer with it. I shot 100gr spitfire's and kept my shots 30yds and closer. Shot placement is the key, you should be fine. :D
My bow shot a blazing 240fps!!

Vixen on up will do. Good luck, and enjoy the grandkids!

Sure it's enough but life is too short to hunt with a make-do bow. That's why 6 have followed me home... so far..I'm only 73 :D
Vortex, Phoenix, single-shot rifles and handguns.

Why hunt? Simple, it's BASIC. Why breath?!
