Last day Success
Got a Jake this morning with my Matrix 380. I called in 2 longbeards and they were coming from about 150 yards when a group of hens and 3 jakes joined the 2 Toms. The 2 Toms started chasing the 3 jakes around and I started calling again and I got a hen fired up and she came running toward my hen decoy with the 3 jakes in tow. I watched the other 2 Toms with the other hens but they wasn't coming any closer. I decided to kill one of the jakes if they came within range. The hen and the 3 jakes all came to my decoy at about 25 yards and started circling it when one of the jakes stepped away from the group and turned broadside I shot him with a Slick Trick Grizz Trick 2 at 32 yards and he flopped a couple of times and took a dirt nap right there. I recovered my arrow about 40 yards away it blew right through him.

A jake is every bit as much a trophy as an adult gobbler. I've killed 25-30 turkeys, (a few of them were really big) and I have been equally happy with every one of them. A jake is a filled tag and some tasty nutritious meat, -- the culmination of a successful hunt. Congratulations!

Thanks everyone, I took my wife opening week with her 330 and I called in several nice birds but she didn't close the deal but she finally had some birds close enough to see some action and get pumped up.
