STS or S5 system?

Looking for opinions on both.
Is there any weight difference between them?
Sound Dampening abilities?
What would you recommend?

I have recently had some experience with the STS from bowjax on my hot-rod Vixen,,,what are you shooting that you want to outfit with these,,,maybe I can help

I'm partial to the NGSS. It's one well thought out design by forum member "new guy" it's much like the others but with the ability to be adjusted.

Your best bet is to contact Chris (aka: New Guy) directly. Truth be told, I'm not sure what the availability is on these string stoppers anymore.

For an Excalibur Ibex SMF.
With machined forward riser.

I've used both the S5 and the STS on my Exocet 200, it's currently wear the STS with Hi-tek String Stops with Void rubber.
The STS are adjustable, with a 3/8's rod you can use many different rubber stops such as the Norway or Bowjax.
Just a personal preference for me, doesn't mean they are any better or worse than the S5's. I still have the S5's tucked away, ya never know....

I tried the STS from bowjax on my forward riser and the rubber bumpers extended way beyond my string,,,Bowjax told me they fit the strait risers w/o modification,,,I was also told by forum members I could get different length rubbers ,,but decided I did not want to go that route,,so I ended up ordering the Excal S5's from Danny Miller who is having his current inventory machined down a bit to increase the life of the rubber bumpers..one other thing,,if I were to have used the STS,,I noticed the sting did not rest in the center of the bumper but more toward the top,,,,did not like that!!!Hope this helps ya out a bit!!

New Guy is out of stock on his,,,don't know if he will be gettin any more
