Bohning Fletch Tape

Post by nchunterkw »

Was thinking of trying the Bohning fletching tape with some Gateway Rayzr feathers. Anybody have experience with tape? Wondering if it will hold up to some prolonged target sessions.

I've used it and they stood up to shooting but pass-throughs are not good.

Would it be a good choice to use to get good feather combos and then take them off and glue them? I'm thinking of taping them on to try them out and check flight and then glue later. As you know the feathers are not quite as uniformly made as a vane and I sometimes need to swap one out for one reason or another.

feathers look nice and add arrow wrap with those and you got yourself awesome arrows.
I just took all gateway feathers off my arrows, back to vanes for better steady grouping. hand cut feathers make it hard for small grouping but I'm still keeping some arrows with turkey feathers... cause they look awesome

You are right those do loo awesome!

I have found that the 2" Rayzrs fletched with an Arizona EZ Fletch Bolt with lots of helical give me as good of flight as Blazers. I have not had great luck with the larger feathers like in your pic.
