winter was very hard on the deer in my area. I have never seen them in this rough of shape

Even in southern MI we started finding winter kill from the hard winter. First time I ever heard of it down here.

Hopefully they bounce back some.

Wow, they do look in rough shape. Lets hope they recover and do better next year, hopefully the winter will be easier on them this year.

I am certainly hoping that they put some meat on those bones, so I can take it back off

Almost ran over a fat doe this morning, ours look pretty healthy too.

Another fairly mild winter in mid to lower B.C. I've seen many mulies and whitetails and all have looked healthy. It makes me wonder because you would think the ticks would have a hayday with milder winters also. Yet every deer except for one that I harvested had few ticks. Go figure.
